    The Talyrond® 1700 PRO consists of proven technology combined into one stable instrument platform.

    Nestled in the instruments solid foundation is a highly accurate oil spindle with load capacity of up to 450 kg. This unique design maintains its precision regardless of component weight.

    The column structure and base foundation are key to providing unrivalled parallelism, cylindricity and roundness measurement.

    The Talyrond® 1700 PRO utilises Taylor Hobson’s Talyvel® Electronic Levels to maintain parallelism between the spindle axis and column regardless of column position.




    Powered by Metrology 4.0, easy to use software with an intuitive user-interface, virtual display and real time control. The state-of-the-art point and move axis control function delivers precise positioning and accurate measurement

    High accuracy roundness, low coning error

    When measuring parallelism or cylindricity of high precision tall components a low coning error becomes a major benefit.

    The Talyrond® 1700 PRO spindle bearing provides roundness and coning accuracy on tall and heavy loads to a level unsurpassed by any other roundness instrument.

    Automated centre & level

    Centre and level is a completely automated process carried out in continuous rotation. A target can be set for centre and level, removing operator influence and ensuring measurement repeatability and integrity.

    Unsurpassed parallelism and cylindricity accuracy

    The instrument is not subject to bending and distortion caused by a heavy load and as such provides high accuracy parallelism and cylindricity.
